with Shelagh O'Neill and Helen Poynor

Two workshops this year, in April and November, using the expertise of two experienced teachers, Helen Poynor and Shelagh O'Neill.
Helen Poynor's work

We go from moving lying on the floor, using the constraints of Feldenkrais Awareness through Movement to understand personal freedoms and limitations. We take this into non-stylised movement, first using the flat floor, and then working on the the sand, rocks and cliffs of the coast.

The interweaving of the Feldenkrais Method® and non-stylised movement creates a fascinating interplay between internal awareness and external expression.

The subtle kinaesthetic awareness developed through Feldenkrais enriches creative exploration, opening the doors to fuller and freer expression and a deeper encounter with the environment.

As we work, we clarify our understanding of self and the environment, as separate and as one.

In April we will be moving outside on the sand, rocks and cliffs of Whitesand Bay (near Sennen), in response to the stunning West Cornish coast in springtime. In November, it will be the Dorset coast.
